Checklist 12 - 6 Months Before the Wedding Day
Welcome to the beginning of your wedding planning journey! It will be a journey filled with excitement and, no doubt, worry. However, there are several things you can do to make planning your wedding a smoother process. First and foremost, get organized! Start and notebook or a binder to write down working to-do lists, prices and notes. Make sure to include an envelope or a pocket insert in which to keep receipts and business cards. Write down phone numbers, appointments and any reminders you may need. Having everything in one place will make planning your big day much easier. That being said, Bewed has prepared a general list of things that you may find helpful when planning your wedding. However, please note that the items listed below are not listed by priority.
1 year to 6 months before the wedding date, you should:
• Decide on a date (or an approximate date)
• Decide on an approximate budget
• Interview and hire a videographer
• Interview and hire a photographer
• Work out an approximate guest list (this list should be created with software such as Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software- this makes it easy to update, and you can include phone numbers and addresses that you will need later on for sending out invitations and thank you cards after the wedding)
• Choose a venue (restaurant, banquet hall, etc.)
• Find a wedding dress
• Interview and hire the entertainment (DJ, musicians, dancers)
• Interview and hire an officiant (Rabbi, Priest, Justice of the Peace)
• Interview and hire a Florist
